Fifth Third Veterans Program
At Fifth Third we’re proud to support veterans in a variety of ways, including the delivery of military- and veteran-focused financial products and services. We also have a year-round, comprehensive program of veteran and military support in the communities we serve:
- Honoring our Veterans – commemorative events to support and recognize the service of veterans and active-duty military and their families.
- Employment – helping veterans transition into the workforce.
- Community-based housing support – rebuilding veterans' homes and providing resources for the establishment of those homes.
- Education – assisting with educational needs, including job training, scholarship assistance and financial empowerment.
This support culminates in a very public way each November, the month of Veterans Day. We host commemorative events throughout our 12-state footprint that honor past and present servicemen and women.

"If it weren't for Kathy Malone, my NextJob military transition coach, I would not be where I am today. Frankly, except for sports, I was skeptical of any kind of coaching, but Kathy opened my eyes. As a result, I set to work building a post-Air Force life around who I was, what I was good at, and the contribution I wanted to make. Today I own my own executive coaching firm. I highly recommend this outstanding opportunity to all veterans out there: take advantage of this coaching scholarship from Fifth Third Bank and Kathy's team at NextJob. It's a powerful way to help you create the career--and the life--you want after leaving military service."
--Ret. Colonel Joe Scherrer, 24-year Air Force veteran and current president of The Leadership Crucible.
