Audit Division

Financial Audit
  • Independently develops and executes risk-based audits, including risk and control identification and controls testing, with an emphasis on compliance with federal regulations, generally accepted accounting principles, and policy and procedural guidance for business activities throughout the Bank
  • Continuously monitors ongoing business activities and initiatives within all of the Bank's lines of business
  • Coordinates with external parties for SOX and substantive testing
  • Delivers timely, accurate, and relevant assessments of control environments and risk mitigation strategies to senior management, Audit Committee, and the Board of Directors
IT Audit
  • Independently develops and executes risk-based audits, including risk and control identification and controls testing, with an emphasis on Logical Security, Physical Security, Change Management, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery; and Support for the Bank's IT infrastructure, business applications, and governance processes
  • Coordinates with Financial Audit on integrated audits
  • Coordinates with external parties for SAS70 testing, OSP reviews, and SOX testing
  • Delivers timely, accurate, and relevant assessments of control environments and risk mitigation strategies to senior management, Audit Committee, and the Board of Directors
Professional Practices Group
  • Facilitates and oversees various department activities, including the Bank's audit/regulatory issues management process, internal management and Audit Committee reporting, audit methodology/standards, internal quality assurance review process, technology tools, annual risk assessment and audit plan development, financial budget, and coordination with regulatory examiners
  • Coordinates various personnel-related initiatives and activities, including campus and experienced new-hire recruiting, on-boarding, resource and performance management, career development, employee engagement, and training

 

Credit Risk Review (CRR) Division

Commercial Credit Risk Review
  • Independently monitors and assesses risk characteristics of the commercial loan portfolio through analysis of underwriting decisioning and ongoing portfolio management
  • Provides senior management, Risk Committee, and the Board of Directors with timely and objective assessments of the level of credit risk in the commercial loan portfolio at the Bank
Consumer Credit Risk Review
  • Independently monitors and assesses risk characteristics of the consumer loan portfolio through testing of consumer processes and underwriting, with a specific focus on credit risk
  • Coordinates with Audit on Consumer Line-of-Business audits to minimize overlap in activities performed by both groups
  • Provides senior management, Risk Committee, and the Board of Directors with timely and objective assessments of the level of credit risk in the consumer loan portfolio at the Bank
