Corporate Facilities is a centralized conglomeration of six departments, with employees located throughout Fifth Third Bank's footprint, working in unison to provide convenient, safe, clean, and cost-efficient facilities for all of our customers as well as each of the Bank's employees. We partner with the Bank and affiliate leadership to execute the Bank's strategic plan for new branch and ATM locations, while partnering with each line of business to provide the facilities they need to support the ever-changing needs of our customers.
Each Corporate Facilities department is charged with vigilantly watching expenses. As such, we work hand-in-hand with Finance to analyze costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenses while still providing top-notch facilities. To do this, each department leverages best-in-class technology to monitor their changing environments. We also work closely with the Bank's Strategic Sourcing Division to ensure we are receiving the best pricing with our strategically sourced partners. Responsible for all aspects related to the installation, ongoing maintenance, and removal of all branch, off-site, and special-event ATMs. They are also responsible for tracking the Bank's ATM fleet, paying all rent associated with each off-site ATM, and providing all reports for each device, such as Profit & Loss and number of transactions performed at the device.
Responsible for acquiring new properties or buildings for future Fifth Third Bank locations, renewing and/or renegotiating leases for existing locations, disposing of properties where the Bank no longer operates, and paying real estate taxes for Bank occupied, owned facilities.
Responsible for all ongoing maintenance at the Bank's facilities. This is accomplished by actively responding to employee requests, completing preventive maintenance tasks, and performing remodels/renovations within the Bank's existing facilities.
Responsible for the construction of branches, office space, and back-office/operations space. This includes partnering with every line of business to support their space needs and executing employee moves. They are also charged with tracking and reporting related to the Bank's corporate real estate portfolio plus processing all non-real estate tax payments for the Bank's facilities.
Responsible for providing ongoing safety and security for customers and employees, their assets, and the Bank's assets through the use of preventive theft techniques, employee training, and 24/7 alarm monitoring.
