Risk Management Leadership Program

Making proactive risk management an enduring part of the Fifth Third Bank culture is a critical element of our Company strategy. The vision of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) division is to build a highly respected best-in-class risk organization that balances risk and reward to optimize shareholder return. In order to realize this vision, our investment in talent is a key to success. The Risk Management Leadership Program (RLP) is designed to develop future leaders with a strong foundation in risk management and an ability to help achieve the ERM vision. The two-year Risk Management Leadership Program provides exposure to eight risk categories and offers challenging rotational assignments developing skills in program development and governance, monitoring, verification/testing, reporting and oversight and effective change.

The RLP internship is a 10-week summer experience in one of the Risk Management departments. Interns will be given an assignment similar to a RLP rotation, but scaled appropriately for the internship. Interns work closely with Risk Management leaders on key initiatives with the support of an assignment leader, senior mentor and peer advisor. Interns will deliver a presentation to Risk Management leaders at the conclusion of the internship.
